Computer Networking Diploma 多唔多數學要讀？

以我個 networking diploma 嘅課程為例，四個 semester 入面，頭三個 semester 要讀數 (每個 semester 讀一個數學 course)。不過，唔洗太擔心，數學唔係主修科。我會考數學成績係緊緊合格，我都應付到。

頭三個 semester 嘅其他科係無需要用到數學堂所教嘅內容。直到 final semester 有科關於 wireless network，先明白點解之前三個 semester 要讀數。好彩跟住 professor 嘅 samples 去做，都可以答到大部份題目。

以 Computer Networking 嘅課程為例，三個數學 course 內容如下：

MATHEMATICS FOR COMPUTER SYSTEMS 1
Real number system and trigonometric functions, exponential laws along with basic algebraic operations, solving equations, graphs of various functions as well as general base conversions.

MATHEMATICS FOR COMPUTER SYSTEMS 2
Fundamental mathematics related to quadratic equations, complex numbers, exponential and logarithmic equations. As well, students will be introduced to set theory. Students will also be familiarized with various concepts relating to modular systems.

STATISTICS FOR COMPUTER SYSTEMS
Summarize data using descriptive statistics (measures of central tendency, dispersion and position). Calculate probabilities using addition rule, multiplication rule and contingency tables. Solve problems involving the Normal distribution. Determine minimum sample size required to estimate a mean. Estimate a population parameter using a sample statistic. Perform elementary hypothesis tests. Apply the principles of linear regression and correlation to solving statistical problems.
